Tribute to another Italian fashion originator: Emilio Pucci. How bland our color pallet would be today without the inspiring creations from his most renowned collections. This is a look from Pucci’s spring 09, shocking the eye with gorgeous color combinations in true Pucci style. But consider the 60s and 70s when his creations were high on the list of fashionably relevant and completely chic.

What this means for us: Pucci was an artist with a canvas of fabrics who used geometric shapes and color combinations to create original works that continue to serve as inspiration for fashion designers everywhere. Take note of the shades he brings together and the loud but pleasing fabrics he uses in some pretty basicly shaped dresses and seperates.

I just love Florence.
