Exotic-ism

Fashion is relative. It’s a global phenomenon with distinct cultural variations. But all fashion can and should be appreciated by every culture. We can take inspiration from local trends around the world and incorporate them into a wardrobe fit for our cultural climate. This look from South Africa plays with proportions and metallics, something we see often in American fashion. It’s a stunning look and can be easily worn here with a few simple alterations.

What this means for us: There are several trends going on here: metallics, pouf sleeves, subtle patterns, mini dresses, and t-strap sandals. These are all things we’ve seen before. But try to put several of them together in an outfit and see how many looks you can come up with that mirror the effects of this one.
